Good to Know
Non-profit discount: 501(c)(3) organizations receive a discounted rate for meetings in our downstairs Community Room ($30 per hour vs. $40). Non-profit discounts on public events, fundraisers, or any events upstairs are not available during our peak season (May, June, July, August, and September) and are only offered in the off-season months, because wedding rentals during these months are Freeland Hall’s only source of revenue.
Guest count: All events include your first 50 guests. Additional fees apply for more than 50 guests, and the count includes staff, volunteers, and vendors.
Commercial-size kitchen with full amenities, plus a drink service bar on the deck overlooking Holmes Harbor.
Starting this season, tables and chairs carry a rental fee, which includes indoor setup and teardown.

Located on over 5 acres of private waterfront property on Whidbey Island, the Hall features panoramic views of Holmes Harbor, manicured gardens, and expansive lawns suitable for both ceremonies and receptions.

Main Hall — Accommodates up to 244 guests and includes five restrooms, along with a private dressing room and restroom located within the Bridal Suite below.
Main Floor — A 2,400 sq ft open space with a 340 sq ft stage, ideal for formal dinners, dancing, live entertainment, or indoor ceremonies.
Bridal Suite — An 800 sq ft suite featuring three private entrances, a dedicated restroom, propane fireplace, kitchenette, and French doors opening to the terrace and wedding arch. Designed for preparation, photography, and quiet retreat.
High‑Speed Internet — Complimentary “Big Gig” fiber‑optic Wi‑Fi ensures seamless connectivity for planners, vendors, and guests.

Full‑Day Reservations Only — Weddings and celebrations are not offered at half‑day or hourly rates.
Discount Consideration — Weekday and multi‑day rental discounts may be available upon request.

Our 800 sq ft commercial-size kitchen is fully equipped to support professional catering teams as well as DIY meal preparation.

Cooking Appliances — Two gas ovens and eight stovetop burners.
Microwave — Large‑capacity unit suitable for rapid reheating.
Dish Station — Includes a dummy‑waiter pass‑through door, industrial restaurant sanitizer, a three‑compartment sink, three additional produce‑rinse sinks on the center island, and a dedicated handwash station at the kitchen entrance.
Refrigeration — Brand‑new industrial refrigerator and a large drop‑in freezer capable of holding up to 20 bags of ice.
Dining Essentials — White dinner plates, dessert plates, serving platters, flatware, and stemware for up to 175 guests.
Beverage Service — Coffee makers, tea pots, water service, tabletop pitchers, four 3‑gallon drink dispensers, 175 wine and champagne glasses, 175 coffee mugs with creamers, and a dedicated drink‑service bar suitable for indoor use or outdoor placement on the waterfront deck. Includes bartender ice chest and mixing equipment.
Serving Equipment — Comprehensive selection of platters, utensils, chafing dishes, waiter cart for bussing, and tray with stand for tableside service.

Freeland Hall provides a peaceful and scenic setting on Whidbey Island for memorials and celebrations of life. Our waterfront location offers comfort, privacy, and space for families and friends to gather in remembrance. With optional access to our commercial‑size kitchen, audio‑visual equipment, and a private family room downstairs, the Hall is well‑suited for meaningful gatherings of all kinds.

Freeland Hall’s downstairs Community Room offers a professional, quiet setting designed specifically for business meetings, board sessions, interviews, trainings, and small organizational gatherings. The room accommodates a maximum of 20 guests, ensuring a productive and focused environment.
Featuring a cozy fireplace, kitchenette, coffee center, and a private restroom, the Community Room provides an efficient and comfortable space for organizations seeking a dedicated meeting location. Scenic views and park access add a calm, welcoming backdrop for professional use.
The Community Room is for business and organizational meetings only. It is not available for parties of any kind, including birthday parties. No food is allowed, except coffee, tea, and light snacks. Renters of the Community Room do not have access to the upstairs hall, and children must be supervised at all times. Please note: the Community Room is not child-friendly. The propane fireplace glass gets very hot.
